1. The short version
Character Manager is a static website. The text you type or paste is processed entirely by your own browser: it is never sent to us, stored on our servers, or included in any log or analytics event. We cannot see, and we do not have, your counted text.
2. What we do not collect
- The text you enter or paste into the counter.
- Any account data, passwords or personal documents.
- Content copied to your clipboard (the Copy button only writes to your own clipboard).
3. Cookies and local storage
The counter itself does not set first-party cookies and does not write anything to your browser's storage.
4. Third-party services: advertising and analytics
This site may display advertisements served by Google AdSense, a third-party advertising network, and may use Google Analytics for aggregate, anonymized usage statistics. These third parties may set cookies (or similar technologies) when they load their scripts. They can see which page you visited on this site, your approximate region, and your browser type — but they cannot see the text you count.
Google uses advertising cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising with Google's Ads Settings, and you can prevent Google Analytics from using your data with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. More about how Google uses data in ads: Google's advertising policies.
5. Aggregate usage statistics
Analytics collected through the services above are aggregate and anonymized: page views, approximate geography, device and browser class, and referral source. They are used to understand how the tools are used, not to identify visitors.
6. External links
This site links to third-party pages (for example, the opt-out tools above). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or its third-party providers change. The date at the top reflects the latest revision.
